The Save the Dunes Conservation Fund was established in 1994 to restore and protect the environment of the Indiana Dunes. Among its activities the Conservation Fund has restored a foredune on Gary's Lake Michigan shoreline, has assisted the Minority Health Coalition of LaPorte County on projects in the area of a Superfund site, and has worked with teachers, individuals, and agencies to monitor the health of local streams and waterways.
Saving the Dunes for Tomorrow
Thanks to a century of citizen efforts, millions of people today enjoy the sandy beaches, lush forests, wetlands, streams, and spectacular birds and wildflowers of the Indiana Dunes.
Will our children's children have the same opportunities? With your support, the Save the Dunes Conservation Fund strives to make sure that they will. A not for profit organization classified 501 (c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service, the Conservation Fund focuses not on day to day crises but on long term projects that enhance the relationship between people and nature within and beyond the National Park.
