About Public Lands Day 2020:
National Public Lands Day is celebrated annually at public lands across the country on the fourth Saturday of September. It is a day where outdoor enthusiasts are encouraged to visit parks and other special public places to celebrate their beauty. It is also a day to give back through volunteerism. This year, National Public Lands Day will look a lot different. While some in-person events with appropriate social distancing will go on, others will not. Yet, we at Save the Dunes seized this opportunity to bring you the Dunes Dash Virtual 5K for Public Lands - an opportunity to give back to our public lands in a way that feels comfortable (away from the crowds) and is simply fun! When you sign up for the Dash, you know that you are helping to raise critical funds to support the enhancement and preservation of the Indiana Dunes National Park through Save the Dunes' programmatic work. So, lace up your shoes and celebrate our public lands Save the Dunes style!
Thank You to our Sponsors
National Public Lands Day events across America are organized each year by the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF), and nationally sponsored by Toyota Motor North America. This year, Save the Dunes is proud to be one of the nationally sponsored organizations by NEEF and Toyota. We wish to send our heartfelt thanks for their generous support, as well as a special thanks to our community sponsors:
