We deepened our overall advocacy, conservation and community engagement work within Lake, Porter, and LaPorte counties and are in the process of renovating the Barker House, the headquarters of Save the Dunes, so we may continue carrying out our mission to protect and advocate for the Indiana dunes, Lake Michigan, and the surrounding natural areas. 

There is so much we have accomplished, and we couldn’t do it without the support of people like you. As we look ahead, we have many exciting things planned for 2024 as we build upon the momentum of the past year. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported us along our 71-year journey. As our founder Dorothy Buell said, “We are prepared to spend the rest of our lives if necessary to save the dunes”. Thank you for helping us continue this vision and ensure our beaches and dunes are protected for generations to come. Your support for this special place is what continues to make our work possible.
