Advocate for Conservation!

Advocate for conservation funds! Ask your congressional representative to pass the America’s Conservation Enhancement Act (ACA). 

This bill invests in wetlands, habitat restoration, and invasive species management projects across the entire country. This funding will help protect our state’s critical habitats including our wetlands and rivers. Indiana water fowl such as belted kingfishers rely on aquatic environments provide their essential habitat for nesting and feeding.  

The House of Representatives has introduced a bill (H.R.8811) to reauthorize the ACA. Our organization and our environmental partners rely on legislation such as the ACA to help us carry out our mission to protect and advocate for the Indiana dunes, Lake Michigan, and the surrounding natural areas for the health and vitality of the environment, and the people who live, work, and recreate in Northwest Indiana. Save the Dunes is now selling National Park Passes! Your Pass allows you to access any and all Indiana Dunes National Park beaches, trailheads, and parking lots while enjoying the beauty of the Indiana Dunes and beyond. 10% of funds from passes purchased through Save the Dunes will go directly to supporting our mission.
