Launched in 2024, our Native Pollinator Garden is open from dawn to dusk and welcome to everyone in the community! Simply unlatch the gate and step through to enjoy native blooms, butterflies, and so much more. Help us keep deer from eating these special plants by latching the gate once you leave.

Demonstration Pollinator Garden at Barker House
In Fall 2024, Save the Dunes installed a native pollinator garden on the property of Save the Dunes HQ – the historic Barker House. Steered by our free resource, Living in the Dunes Volume 2, we created a layout and selected plants for the garden. Thanks to an incredible group of volunteers and some knowledgeable partners, we were able to complete the planting in one day.
Even in its first two years, the garden has been a delightful space on our property, boasting beautiful blooms, a plethora of pollinators, and a cadre of critters that call our garden home. We are so excited to see what the future will bring for this garden as it matures and fully comes into its native glory!
